Introduction
The Ferrari Roma is the new model launched by the sports car maker this year and also one of 15 to be found by 2022 under an ambitious model overhaul. The company aims to attract new customers with the Roma coupé. Exposed in the Italian capital, the Roma is designed for people who want to drive a sports car or Ferrari but are a little afraid of Ferrari and sports cars.
The Ferrari Roma, unveiled in November 2019, has finally arrived in India, with the company announcing its prices in the country. The Coupé 2+, as the brand likes to call it, pays homage to the city life of Rome in the 1950s and 60s.
Under the hood of the Ferrari Roma is the award-winning 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine producing 612hp and 760Nm of torque. Combined with an eight-speed DCT unit, the model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, followed by 200 km/h in 9.3 seconds. The maximum speed of the model is 320 km/h.
What are Ferrari Roma Exterior Highlights
Exterior highlights of the new Ferrari Roma include a shark-nose-inspired fascia, adaptive LED headlights, flared wheel arches, and a rear spoiler with three modes (Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce) and taillights with four LEDs.
Inside, the 2021 Ferrari Roma features a three-spoke steering wheel, a floating center console with a separate touchscreen infotainment system.
A 16-inch curved all-digital instrument display, and a different screen for the passenger. Ventilated and heated seats are also offered.

Who will Buy the Ferrari Roma Then?
Maranello expects 70% of Roma customers to be new to the brand, and the siren song comes through a body whose design upholds the fashionable idea of reductionism and purity.
Ferrari design director Flavio Manzoni is quietly and cunningly revolutionary in his thinking. The Ferrari Roma is a progressive-looking car with magnificent proportions for all the references to Fellini and Sophia Loren movies. The crest of the front fenders moves, and the sheet metal resolves into an increasingly pointed front end.
The LED headlights and partially covered mesh grille are controversial, but they bring the Ferrari “face” into the 2020s.
Ferrari Roma: Technical Evolution
Beneath the impressive skin, Roma’s all-aluminum chassis and white bodywork share a lot with the Portofino. Interestingly, the two wheelbases are almost identical. Ferrari Roma, however, has the most planted posture. As a result, the roof height is lower than the center of gravity, and it’s also almost 100kg lighter.
The Ferrari Roma’s twin-turbocharged V8 generates 620 hp. It is closely related to Portofino, the F8, and Ferraris. The new technology includes a speed sensor that measures the revolutions in the turbo. It allows the maximum RPM (at the turbo) to be increased by 5,000 rpm, strengthening top-end performance. The pair of twin-scroll turbos and flat-plane crankshaft also help deliver instant power on demand, or what Ferrari calls zero lag.
In addition, Variable Boost Management, a control software, varies the maximum torque delivered in straight gears. As the car shifts, the torque increases to 760Nm in seventh and eighth gear. It helps give a smooth, growing performance feel.
The car’s new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox is also more compact, and 6kg lighter, and the dry sump lubrication here also helps keep things smooth when driving around town.

Conclusion
On the one hand, the Ferrari Roma is Ferrari’s most practical and usable car. It drives well, is easy to navigate, uses good judgment, and has enough ground clearance for our roads and conditions. It’s also a proper Ferrari when you flip the switch and hit the gas. Seriously fast in a straight line and very engaging for fast cornering, it also comes with a full suite of Ferrari driver aids. On top of that, it is beautiful, beautifully built, and at Rs 3.76 Crore, the least expensive Ferrari you can buy. It is a Ferrari that ticks all the boxes and then some. It won’t make you feel like a driving god like the F8 can, and it will be more expensive once you spec it, but if you’re looking for a Ferrari, you’ll want to drive almost every day and drink everywhere; this is it.
